Paralegal

About

In my time as a family law paralegal, I’ve seen firsthand how no two cases are the same. Every day presents a new challenge. By working with our clients, counsel, and the courts, we can adapt and respond to just about anything that arises throughout litigation.

Being a part of improving a client’s situation—particularly as they go through something as stressful and emotionally charged as a divorce, separation, or custody matter—is such a privilege. I love being a part of someone’s solution and doing my best to make the process as smooth as possible for them. Helping clients through domestic violence cases and ensuring their safety, as well as the safety of any children involved, is also incredibly rewarding.

I have deep respect for the people at DuBois Levias and the work that we do. We genuinely care for our clients and want to see them succeed. The relationship between the team and our clients is close, respectful, and professional. We recently had a client tell us that they were so happy with their result and so impressed by the quality of our work that they wished they could work for us. It was an honor to know we helped them and that they connected to our team.

Not only are we advocates, but we also take the time to listen and do what we can to make people feel comfortable and heard throughout what can be a stressful process. The firm’s strong yet approachable mission and our emphasis on inclusivity and support made me thrilled to join this outstanding team.

In college, I found a deep enjoyment in my law, society, and justice classes. Writing and debate have always come naturally to me, and it was a natural transition into a career as a paralegal. After earning my B.A. in English from the University of Washington, I got my certification in paralegal studies through Seattle Central College.

I was born and raised on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and have lived in Seattle for over 10 years. While I think it would be an adventure to live elsewhere, Washington is home for me. It has everything I love, from the outdoors, to great food and drinks, to my family and friends.

When not working, I like to stay active. I am a long-distance runner and am continuously learning as a practicing yogi. I love to hike and spend time with my partner and our cats, Jack and Jones. My creativity comes out while I’m cooking or drawing—I particularly enjoy creating pet portraits. I also volunteer a few times each year at the Nordic Heritage Museum to support the team during museum events.
