Paralegal

About

I’ve been part of DuBois Levias Law Group for more than 10 years and have more than 20 years of experience in family law. An attorney I used to work with came to DuBois Levias and recommended that I apply. Right away, I noticed the team atmosphere and appreciation for work-life balance and knew I wanted to be part of this firm.

I started my legal career as a family law legal assistant and became a paralegal. It’s one of the most rewarding careers I could imagine. We truly find creative solutions to what seem like impossible problems. When clients first come in, they are overwhelmed, scared, emotionally drained, and often cannot envision the future. It’s so rewarding to see people take their power back, come up with a vision for themselves and their future, and watch their spark return.

I come from a large, blended family that successfully worked together to create a positive experience for all of us kids. I grew up thinking the moms of my non-biological siblings were my “aunts.”

I was born in Washington and moved to Mississippi as a young child after my parents separated. I returned to Washington as an adult and have lived here ever since. This is the state I raised my children in—and it will always feel like home to me.

It’s so rewarding to see people take their power back, come up with a vision for themselves and their future, and watch their spark return.

Outside of work, I am obsessed with travel. I’m on a mission to get as many passport stamps as possible. I also enjoy jigsaw puzzles and exploring our beautiful nature and hiking trails. I have two adult children who are pursuing their dreams in other parts of the country. My son lives in Scottsdale and my daughter is attending the MFA program at Syracuse University in New York.
